Janelle once lived in a little town called Labrador City. She dreamed of being a dancer, a therapist and a teacher, but she wasn’t sure how to do it. As there was no dance school in her town, she decided to take aerobics and bam! She was an aerobics instructor at 15. At 18, she hopped on a boat to Newfoundland, got a BA in Linguistics and a TESL diploma, then headed for the wild west.

Since she has lived in Edmonton, Janelle has continued her studies in movement, music, community and culture. She is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), a certified Nia instructor, an event planner and facilitator, and sometimes a performer.

Janelle loves that the expression "Give 'er" exists both in Newfoundland and Alberta dialects.
